In 2010, Post 228 will sponsor two teams in Zone 9 of American Legion baseball.

The Senior team will be comprised of athletes 19 years of age or younger as of January 1, 2009. The Junior Division team is for players who will be 17 years of age or younger as of January 1, 2010

This is a competitive team and tryouts will be held for players who are Somerset residents or attending Somerset High School. Players from other neighboring communities would need a release from their Post or be eligible per the Base School Rule governing American Legion Baseball nationally.

We are holding tryouts for the Somerset Post 228 Jr. and Sr. American Legion Baseball teams.  Jr. Legion is open to players 17 yrs and under.  Sr. Legion is for players 19 yrs and under.  Tryouts will be held Saturday, April 25 at 2:00 PM and Sunday, April 26th, 2009 at 10AM at Somerset High School.  If you are interested in trying out for either of the 2009 teams, please contact us via email. All players interested in participation MUST attend a tryout session.
